SUMMER 17
This summer I am loving vibrant colours and geometric patterns, balanced with natural elements like florals and jute. It's all about mixing & layering to create an exciting and fun atmosphere. That's what summer is all about!
My favourite way to decorate with the season is to use changeable pillow covers as opposed to pillows with inserts already in them. This way I can keep the same pillow but change the cover based on events or seasons. My go to for this is Tonic Living.
Layering rugs is a thing and I am obsessed. It creates so much more warmth & dimension to a space. My summer picks includes a jute rug from West Elm topped with a contrasting black and white geometric rug.
What colour reflects summer better than a bright, cheery, yellow!!! I have selected this fun accent chair to add a more substantial pop of colour, paired with a playful Mongolian Lamb Stool & a round mirror all from West Elm.
When accessorizing I use items that help tie the look together by reflecting elements seen through out the other selections. In this case, patterns, colours and the artisanal vibe of these vases from Structube are pulled from the pillows and rugs.
And quite possiblyyyyy my favourite selection of all is this abstract, brass pendant. Fun & modern, it will create a unique and eye cathcing focal point.
